(WHF).

- Our goal is to provide you with
exceptional customer service that is geared towards meeting
all of your healthcare needs. Every day, we touch the lives
of many individuals through the services we provide, such as
Mammography, Bone Density, Electrocardiography, Fluoroscopy,
General Radiography, Pain Management, Urography and
Ultrasound. Board Certified Radiologists provide all
Radiology interpretations and consultations. Our level of
professionalism allows us to respond to your needs, and
those of your referring physician. We also offer trusted
interpretations and viable options for your healthcare
management.

clinic, with primary care and specialty physicians. We are
committed to providing both quality and cost-effective
healthcare. We strive to provide all of your healthcare
services in one day at a very low competitive cost. Whether
you are seeing your Primary Care Physician, the
Cardiologist, having Lab work, or your radiology imaging
services ,we strive to coordinate as many appointments on
one day as possible.

Mammography
Program
- Accredited by the American College of
Radiology.
- Licensed by the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA).
- Meets all of the requirements of the
Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992 (MQSA)
Mammography Staff
- Received their formal education and
training at accredited institutions.
- Are registered by the American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists.
- Received advanced certification in
Mammography.
- All annual screening mammograms can be
scheduled on the same day as your visit with your Obstetrics and
Gynecology (OBGYN) physician.

- Our services include standard diagnostic,
screening mammography, and breast ultrasound.
Our Goal
- Our Goal as Mammographers is to use
professional, ethical judgment, and critical thinking when
performing mammography exams. We are sensitive to the emotional
and physical needs of our patients, and strive to make every
exam a positive experience.

Radiographers
- Our Radiographers are highly
competent and professional technologists, who perform a
variety of x-ray exams on virtually every part of the body.
- Are registered by the American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists.
- Traditional x-rays are performed through
the use of radiographic equipment, cassettes, film, and a
processor, while utilizing the least amount of ionizing
radiation.
- Our Radiographers perform exams on
patients of all ages who may vary in their levels of health
whether it’s having a routine x-ray, or an x-ray for a severe
injury.
X-Ray Equipment
- Our x-ray equipment is registered with
the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services Division of
Public Health.
- A qualified
radiation safety officer is assigned to oversee the training of
operators of the x-ray equipment, and ensure the safety of all
patients.
Our Goal
- Our Goal as Radiographers is to meet the
healthcare and diagnostic needs of our patients and physicians,
by producing high quality radiographs. As a part of a vital
healthcare team, it is the value of service, and the safety of
our patients to what we are committed every day.

Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
- WHF is performing Bone Mineral Density
exams utilizing state of the art equipment as an aid in
diagnosing osteoporosis, and other degenerative and metabolic
bone diseases. We have acquired a Hologic Bone Mineral Density
Scanning System, which includes a Sahara Clinical Bone Sonometer
(used for heel scans), with a software package that we believe
will provide the most accurate solution in managing those
degenerative and metabolic bone diseases that lead to
osteoporosis.
WHF Initiative
- Osteoporosis affects millions of
individuals, and is the most common bone disease affecting men
and women everyday. Here at WHF, patients are provided with
options to check their bone mineral content.
- As a part of our Women’s Wellness
Initiative, WHF offers a Peripheral (Heel) Bone Mineral Density
(BMD) Screening test with all screening mammograms.

This test is also offered with patient
physical exams (if necessary) at no charge.

WHF will perform a Dual Energy X-ray
Absorptiometry Bone Mineral Density exam (DEXA table scan) at
any time with a physician order.

Our Radiographers perform exams on patients of all ages who may
vary in their levels of health whether it’s having a routine
x-ray, or an x-ray for a severe injury.
Our Goal
- Our goal here at the Wisconsin Health
Fund (WHF) is to promote Women’s Wellness, and to increase
awareness of osteoporosis, its prevention, and the risks of
fractures.

Pain Management
- Pain Management has always been
recognized as a serious but treatable condition.
- Here at WHF, we work with Specialty
physicians who are Board Certified Anesthesiologists to try to
identify the causes of pain and attempt to treat the condition
using several techniques such as: injections, medications, and
physical therapy.
Services
- WHF utilizes state-of-the art equipment
in all Pain Management procedures which are performed on Monday,
and Wednesday afternoons in the Radiology department.
- All Pain management procedures are
coordinated between the Radiology and Nursing departments.

This equipment is also available to other
Specialists, such as Orthopedic physicians.
Our Goal
- Our goal is to help reduce the
frustrations of pain that can be associated with physical
discomfort, in a safe and professional manner, so that you can
return to your normal physical activities.

Electrocardiology (ECG or EKG)
- An electrocardiogram is a device that is
used to record the electrical activity of the heart. This is a
non-invasive, painless test in which small pads and electrodes
are utilized to illustrate the electrical activity from one
location in the heart to the other. An Internist, Cardiologist,
or other healthcare professional will interpret the results of
the test, which is printed on a strip of paper.

If age appropriate, the WHF will include an
EKG exam as part of your annual physical examination.

Our goal is to help physicians and patients
understand the importance in the electrical activity of the
heart, and its function as it affects symptoms of heart disease.

Ultrasound
- Ultrasound is a non-invasive healthcare
procedure that is provided at WHF by Medical Care Specialists
(MCS).
- MCS is certified by the
American College of Radiology
- MCS
is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the
Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL)
- Ultrasound services are performed on
Tuesdays from 8:30am to 4:00pm, and on Thursday afternoons, from
1:00pm to 4:00pm.
- MCS performs a variety of general
ultrasound exams such as Abdomen and Pelvis, Obstetrical,
Ankle/Brachial Indices (ABI’s), Venous Doppler, and
Echocardiograms. In some cases, ultrasound is also utilized as a
follow-up to mammography exams. In addition, ultrasound is
sometimes used a guide is in assisting physicians perform
procedures such as thyroid biopsies.
